POLICE have reassured residents that no threat is posed to Hayle and the surrounding areas after a man was arrested last night on terrorism offences.
The 26-year-old Bangladeshi national was arrested at Balti King Indian restaurant under Section 5 of the terrorism act.
The man was believed to be plotting an act of terrorism in relation to the ongoing conflict in Syria and was arrested by officers from Devon and Cornwall Police and the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (Sectu).
