Redruth man Tony Pengelly denies dangerous driving and assault
A REDRUTH man has denied dangerous driving and assaulting a woman by beating her.
At Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, Tony Pengelly, 28, of East Park, pleaded not guilty to having driven a Ford Ka dangerously on Plain-An-Gwarry, Redruth on July 6.
He further denied assaulting by beating Emily Johnson.
Pengelly was granted conditional bail to appear before the court for a plea and case management hearing on October 24.

Camborne man Timothy Glasson admits defrauding 11 people
A CAMBORNE man has admitted defrauding 11 people over rents and deposits.
At Truro Crown Court on Monday, the day his trial was due to start, Timothy Glasson, aged 51, of Higher Pengegon, admitted six counts of fraud.
He had been accused of 20, and had previously admitted four counts.
After discussions between the prosecution and defence his new pleas were accepted.
The offences are said to have taken place between December 2010 and September 2013.

A 25-year-old motorcyclist from Truro has died following a collision with a car in St Mawes yesterday afternoon.
The incident took place on Tredenham Road at 5.55pm, and involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a Volvo XC90 car.
