A REDRUTH man has denied dangerous driving and assaulting a woman by beating her. At Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, Tony Pengelly, 28, of East Park, pleaded not guilty to having driven a Ford Ka dangerously on Plain-An-Gwarry, Redruth on July 6. He further denied assaulting by beating Emily Johnson. Pengelly was granted conditional bail to appear before the court for a plea and case management hearing on October 24.

A CAMBORNE man has admitted defrauding 11 people over rents and deposits. At Truro Crown Court on Monday, the day his trial was due to start, Timothy Glasson, aged 51, of Higher Pengegon, admitted six counts of fraud.
