AGRICULTURAL workers Mantas Chazanavicius, 18, and Jonas Grocas, 19, both of Black Rock, Camborne, appeared before Truro magistrates charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Kane McIlroy and Jake Slater in a Penzance nightclub on July 27.Both men were remanded in custody until August 19, when they will appear via video link before Truro Crown Court.

POLICE are asking shopkeepers in Redruth to be vigilant after seizing a number of fake £50 notes.Officers say the fraudsters typically use the fake notes to buy small items, usually under £10 in value, and pocket the change. So far five imitation notes have been handed in. Sargent Gavin Barnes from Camborne police station said: "If shopkeepers are offered fake notes they can contact the police on 101 and report the description of the person and their vehicle."
