BURGLARS have continued to target homes around the St Austell area in a second spate this week.
Police are urging residents in rural, isolated areas to be vigilant after three more homes were burgled in daylight hours, following three burglaries last week.
The first was at a home in Woodland Road, St Austell, on Monday, August 8. The second two, both on the following day, were in Coombe and Porthpean.

Hayle man in arson charge ordered to carry out unpaid work
A HAYLE man who set fire to a kitchen cabinet at The Bluff Inn causing £275 damage has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

PARAMEDICS called to help a man who had collapsed on Albert Pier in Penzance were subjected to abuse and four-letter words by him, Truro magistrates heard.Peter Angel, aged 65, of Henver Road, Newquay, pleaded guilty to a bail offence and to being drunk and disorderly on April 7.He could hardly stand and was found to be drunk.Angel had previous convictions for shoplifting and drink-related offences.The case was adjourned for probation inquiries.
