A WOMAN who was found dead in a car in a lay-by in Looe has been officially named as Leonie Roberts from South Wales.The body of the 28-year-old was discovered in the back of a Ford Mondeo on Friday, June 28.The car had been parked in a lay-by close to West Wayland Caravan Park on the main road between Looe and Polperro.A post-mortem examination has been carried out but did not determine the cause of death. A VW Golf car left in Goldsworthy Road car park in Wadebridge had all four wheels stolen sometime between 10pm last Thursday night and 8am the following morning.Police are appealing for information about the theft and would also like to hear from anyone offered VW wheels and tyres for sale. ALCOHOL and a mobile phone were stolen when thieves burgled a house in Furze Hill, Bodmin between 8.30pm on July 5 and noon the following day.They stole a silver Nokia mobile phone, two bottles of Krug champagne, a bottle of Piper champagne and litre bottles of Smirnoff vodka and Bacardi.Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Bodmin CID calling 101 and quoting crime reference BB/13/1100.

A BUDE man who admitted theft and drugs offences has been ordered to pay a total of £260.Owen Lavender, 27, of Treleven Road, Bude, appeared before Bodmin magistrates when he pleaded guilty to stealing a £24.99 memory card from Mark Osbourne of Acnote Computoz Systems Ltd on May 25, and possession of 2.9g and 6.8g of cannabis.He was fined £155 with a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 costs.

POLICE are seeking help in identifying a group of youths who allegedly set fire to a bin on the Camel Trail in Bodmin.Police said that about 15 youths were seen when the bin at Scarletts Well Park was set alight at around 9.45pm last Thursday.The fire brigade was called and put out the fire but the bin was destroyed.PC Robin Riches is hoping to hear from anyone who knows who was in the group.He can be contacted on 101, quoting crime reference BB/13/1111.
