The police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was assaulted at his home in Camborne. Two men knocked at the door of the elderly man's property in Pendarves Street, Beacon between 9pm and 10pm on April 19. They demanded money from the man and assaulted him. Thieves have stolen and defaced irreplaceable artwork at the Fish Factory Art Space during a break in. Police are warning people to be wary of cold callers after a number of complaints about two men offering substandard gardening services in Falmouth. A man whose death is at the centre of a major police investigation has been formally named.Mick Kearns died after being found unconscious and not breathing outside Sailors nightclub in Newquay at 3am on Saturday. COCAINE worth more than £1,000 was seized during a drugs raid in Newquay.Police found the Class A drug, with a street value of £1,300, at a property in the Mayfield area of Newquay on Monday last week.Town police, who obtained a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act to enter the property, also seized cannabis worth £300.Robert Bumstead of Hawkins Road has been charged with possession of a controlled drug and is due to appear before Bodmin Magistrates' Court on May 7.
