ROSS SCOTT, aged 20, of Barkers Green, St Austell, has been sent to Truro Crown Court on unconditional bail charged with assaulting Andrew Dixon, causing him actual bodily harm, between August 22 and 24 at St Austell. Bodmin magistrates directed trial by jury when Scott appeared before them on January 7. He is due at the Crown Court on January 31 for a plea and case management hearing.

On Friday Bodmin magistrates dismissed charges of assaulting Ms Blackman by beating and stealing her mobile phone, which he had denied, after the prosecution offered no evidence.

He was disqualified from driving for 26 months, to be reduced by 26 weeks if he completes an approved course.

Pool pensioner Anthony Edwards admits downloading indecent images...
A 67-YEAR-OLD Pool man has admitted downloading more than 2,000 indecent images of children to his computer.
At Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, Anthony Edwards, of Agar Road, admitted 12 counts of making indecent images between May 5 and July 12 last year.
The charges related to images at level one to four on the scale used by police to categorise such material, with five being the highest.

A pair of teenagers have been arrested following a spate of house and bicycle burglaries in Truro.
Police appealed for help from the public to deal with six burglaries in the Mitchell Hill area of the city on January 12 and 13.

A PERRANPORTH woman walked into a family's home, rifled through their drawers and stole one bath bomb out of a pack of three.
