A CRACKINGTON Haven man has appeared at Truro Crown Court accused of attempting to murder his wife.Clint Francis Eastwood Warne, 41, of Church Park, is charged with attempting to murder Kerry Warne at Crackington Haven on Saturday, December 7.Warne, who entered no pleas at the hearing, was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the court again on March 28.

ANDREW CHARLES WILLIAMS, 61, of Wingfield, Bodmin, entered guilty pleas at Truro Magistrates' Court on January 7 to assaulting Andrew Harrington and Susanne Harrington at St Erme in August and being in charge of a vehicle with excess alcohol.He was given a community order and told to do 200 hours of unpaid work, pay compensation of £450 and banned from driving for six months.He was also given a drink banning order for a year.

Appearing at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, Benjamin Young, 24, of Marlborough Road, admitted assaulting Samantha Heaford and causing her actual bodily harm.

Thief uses rock to steal television in Bodmin
A thief used a rock to smash the window of a house in Bodmin and made off with a television.
The daylight burglary occurred yesterday between 9am and 1pm at a property in Castle Canyke Road with the thief stealing a Technico television.

Warning to public after spate of house burglaries in Truro
The public have been warned to be on their guard after a spate of house burglaries in Truro.
Truro Police said there had been six burglaries of homes and sheds in the Mitchell Hill area this week.
There has also been a spike in thefts of bicycles and from vehicles and police believe the incidents may be connected.
Officers have been carrying out house-to-house visits to warn people in the area of the burglaries and to urge them to take precautions against thieves.

Restraining order made after charges are dismissed
TRURO magistrates made a restraining order against a Penryn man who pleaded not guilty to assaulting Lorraine Peters at Mount Hawke on September 26 and to intimidating a witness. The charges against Scott Christopher Packham, 25, of Summerheath, were dismissed after no evidence was offered by the prosecution on the making of the order, which prohibits him from contacting Ms Peters or going to a Truro address.
