Thieves attempt break-in through hole in roof

Thieves tried to break into a building being renovated by going through a hole in the roof. Police said they were not successful due to the large drop from the roof to the floor at a property in Trucks Hill, Probus. The thieves also tried to jemmy open the back door of the property at some point between 3.30pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday. Anybody with information is asked to contact the police on 101.

A CRACKINGTON HAVEN man charged with the attempted murder of his wife appeared before Bodmin magistrates in custody yesterday. Clint Frances Eastwood Warne, 40, of Church Park, is charged with attempting to murder Kerry Warne at Crackington Haven on Saturday (December 7). The penalty was deemed to have been paid by time served in custody. He admitted that the offence was committed in breach of two conditional discharges. No action was taken on the breaches.
