Thieves attempt break-in through hole in roof

Thieves tried to break into a building being renovated by going through a hole in the roof. Police said they were not successful due to the large drop from the roof to the floor at a property in Trucks Hill, Probus. The thieves also tried to jemmy open the back door of the property at some point between 3.30pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday. Anybody with information is asked to contact the police on 101.

A CRACKINGTON HAVEN man charged with the attempted murder of his wife appeared before Bodmin magistrates in custody yesterday. Clint Frances Eastwood Warne, 40, of Church Park, is charged with attempting to murder Kerry Warne at Crackington Haven on Saturday (December 7). NEIL VASEY, 56, of Blagdon, Tregadillett, Launceston, admitted to driving with 113 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the limit being 35mcg – at Southgate Street, Launceston, on October 31. PAUL NOBLE, 47, of Valley View Caravan Site, Dunmere, Bodmin, was fined £100, with £150 costs and a £20 victim surcharge, by Bodmin magistrates on Wednesday after pleading guilty to possession of 0.1g of cannabis at Camborne on October 30. The penalty was deemed to have been paid by time served in custody. He admitted that the offence was committed in breach of two conditional discharges. No action was taken on the breaches.
