AN ALCOHOLIC who befriended a family living in Penryn stole cash and jewellery from them while they were out.
Ian Davis, 44, of Penventon Terrace, Redruth, was drinking up to one and a half bottles of spirits per day when he burgled his friends' home, Truro Crown Court heard on Friday.
Elaine Hobson, prosecuting, said Davis had been made friends with 60-year-old Brian Drake who lived in a detached house in Penryn with his 71-year-old aunt Phyllis Triggs.
