Police officers from the Devon & Cornwall force were called to tackle violence at 16 weddings and wakes last year after fighting broke out between guests.
They were called to deal with fights at weddings at both Par and Redruth, while violence also erupted at wakes in Liskeard, Saltash and St Austell.
In all, officers were called to 10 weddings and six wakes across the two counties in 2013-14, resulting in four arrests.
