A HELSTON pensioner, who subjected a young girl to "sustained and degrading" sexual abuse, has been jailed for 16 years.
At Truro Crown Court on Thursday, a jury convicted 68-year-old Terrence Williams, of Trengrouse Way, of a series of indecent assaults and rapes between 1988 and 1996.
The victim, who is now in her 30s and cannot be named for legal reasons, contacted police in May 2012 and told them the abuse started when she was aged under-10 and continued for a number of years.
