A HOMELESS man persistently rang the police asking for lifts from Helston to St Austell, a district judge was told.Christopher Edward Ball, 33, of no fixed abode, first came to the notice of the police after a call from Tesco in Helston at 4am on January 23, when he was drunk and abusive and refusing to leave.Officers advised him to go on his way but he soon returned and then called police asking for a lift.
