A TRURO man ended Christmas day by taking his mother's car, driving it while under the influence of alcohol and then crashing it into a parked vehicle.
Michael Towler, 26, of The Lugger, admitted driving with excess alcohol, without a licence, or insurance and aggravated vehicle taking.
At Truro Magistrates Court last Thursday, Alison May, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said Towler had been with his mother and friends in St Mawes for Christmas lunch, where he had been drinking.
