A daring thief rode out of a store on a stolen bicycle with staff in hot pursuit in Truro this afternoon.
A man cycled at speed through the doors of the Halfords store on St Austell Street and took off down the road on the women's bicycle.
Staff members tried to follow the man and raised the alarm but the pedal-powered thief beat them for pace.
West Briton photographer Jon Jacobs was in the car park at Halfords when he witnessed the man speeding out of the shop shortly before 2pm.
