THE NUMBER of reported crimes in Fowey increased dramatically in August, say police.In the course of the month officers dealt with a total of 21 crimes, compared to 3 in July and 8 in June.PCSO Linda Thomas said the spike was normal during the town's annual regatta."There was very low-level marine crime but a high number of assault crimes," she told the town council."It's still a very nice place to live. You're all very lucky."
