Probation officers took to the streets of Truro to protest against the privatisation of the service they work for.
The Ministry of Justice announced today that payment-by-results contracts for dealing with offenders will be split between private companies and charities.
Probation officers in Truro said the deal would result in a poorer service and that justice and public protection should not be about profit.
