METAL thieves have targeted a primary school in Redruth.
Police in Cornwall are urging people to be extra vigilant following a spate of thefts from schools around the county since the summer holidays began.
There have been four thefts of lead from roofs in schools between July 18 and 25.
Around £20,000 worth of lead was taken from the roof of the old school building at St Dennis School in St Austell overnight on Thursday July 18 and Friday July 19 before 8.45pm.
