A MAN has been awarded costs from the public purse for his travel and overnight stay expenses after travelling to Cornwall from the Midlands for a trial which was dropped on the day by the Crown Prosecution Service.Mark Bickley, 50, of Watling Street, Grendon, Warwickshire, had pleaded not guilty to speeding on the A30 at Fraddon on March 22.He attended Bodmin Magistrates' Court to contest the case on Thursday, July 11.But the court was told by Anita Kennett, for the prosecution, that the...
