A HELSTON man has been given a 12-month community order to carry out 120 hours' unpaid work after admitting benefit fraud of £12,471.56.Robert Foster, 49, of Hawkins Way, pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates' Court to seven counts of benefit fraud, five counts of dishonestly failing to report to Cornwall Council that he was in paid work, and two counts of failing to disclose his employment on claim documents.Foster was also ordered to pay £300 towards the council's legal costs.
