Police in Truro have confirmed that overall crime in Truro has reduced by nearly 10 per cent compared to figures from last year.
According to official police statistics, overall crime has dropped from 2,490 incidents from April 2011-2012 to 2,285 from April 2012-2013.
Inspector Mark Richards at Truro police station said domestic burglary dropped from 102 incidents down to 59, a "significant reduction" of 42.2 per cent.
